BOTTOM DOLLAR FOOD OPENS NEW PENNDEL STORE ON DEC. 3 December 3, 2010 SALISBURY, N.C. Bottom Dollar Food, a soft-discount grocer, opened an additional store in the greater Philadelphia market today at 11 Bellvue Ave. in Penndel, Pa. The 12,500 square-foot store will offer more than 6,800 items at the best prices in the market to consumers in the Philadelphia region. The soft-discount grocer also opened a store in Marlton, N.J., today which was its ninth store opening in the greater Philadelphia region. Bottom Dollar Food will open 15-20 stores and create 600 jobs by year-end in the greater Philadelphia market. “We look forward to serving the greater Philadelphia community at this additional location,” said Meg Ham, President of Bottom Dollar Food. “Customers will find Bottom Dollar Food unique because we carry national and private products, and offer outstanding quality produce, meat and other products. Since Oct. 8, the company has opened nine stores in the greater Philadelphia region. “Bottom Dollar Food has great potential in this market because we believe it is underserved in the soft-discount grocer arena,” added Ham. “We are very pleased with customer reaction to the nine Bottom Dollar Food stores in this region.
