BOTTOM DOLLAR FOOD OPENS TWO MORE STORES IN PHILADELPHIA ON OCT. 29 October 29, 2010 SALISBURY, N.C. – Bottom Dollar Food, a soft-discount grocer, opened two additional Philadelphia-area stores today at 154 Airport Road in Valley Township in Coatesville, Pa., and 889 E. Lancaster Ave. in East Caln Township in Downingtown, Pa. The stores will offer more than 6,800 items at the best prices in the market to consumers in the Philadelphia region. Bottom Dollar Food is a full-shop, soft-discount grocer that offers a best price guarantee and will beat any competitor's price on the same item by a penny. The grocer opened its first Philadelphia store Oct. 8 on 197 E. Dekalb Pike in King of Prussia, Pa. "We look forward to serving the greater Philadelphia community at these two additional locations," said Meg Ham, President of Bottom Dollar Food. "Customers will find Bottom Dollar Food unique because we carry national and private products, and offer outstanding quality produce, meat and other products. We offer the best prices on groceries in the market and provide our customers a friendly, fun and lighthearted shopping experience." The Valley Township store is 23,700 square feet and the East Caln location is 20,700 square feet. "Bottom Dollar Food has great potential in this market because we believe it is underserved in the soft-discount grocer arena," added Ham. "We are very excited to now have three Bottom Dollar Food stores and deliver the best price and value in grocery products to customers in the King of Prussia, East Caln and Valley Township areas. As we continue to expand in the market, we believe customers will enjoy shopping at our stores and we will win new business through our customer-friendly approach and exceptional value we offer customers." As part of the grand opening festivities, Bottom Dollar Food donated $500 to Valley Township's Westwood Fire Company, $500 for Westwood Fire Company's Emergency Medical Service Unit, and $1,000 to the Valley Township Police Department. Bottom Dollar Food also donated $500 each to several organizations in the East Caln community, including East Caln Township, Downingtown Police Department, Downingtown Ambulance and Downingtown Fire Department. Bottom Dollar Food will open approximately 15-20 stores by the end of 2010 in the greater Philadelphia market and expects to create about 600 jobs in the region.
