The Bottom Dollar Food Piggy Banks are Back!

Mooresville, N.C. - The Bottom Dollar Food Hide and Reap promotion has returned to Mooresville for the month of April. Bottom Dollar Food will be giving away more than $20,000 in coupons and gift cards, as well as more than 1,200 free items over the month-long promotion.

5,000 piggy banks are stuffed with Bottom Dollar Food coupons for $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100, one bank has a coupon for $1,000. The event launches on Wednesday, April 1 in the parking lot of Bottom Dollar Food, located at 235 East Plaza Drive. Customers can meet and greet the Bottom Dollar Food Piggy Bank character, as well as the Easter Bunny, and pick up a Hide and Reap events calendar. No banks or coupons will be available at the kick-off event.

Piggy banks will be hidden from April 3 through April 25 at 18 different events around Mooresville. All coupons must be redeemed at the Mooresville Bottom Dollar Food location prior to May 30, 2009.

There will be two events held at the Bottom Dollar Food store:

  • Tuesday, April 7: Exclusive hiding inside the store, 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Note: this is the only time that the banks will be hidden inside the store.
  • Wednesday, April 22: Earth Day celebration with reusable bags and fun prizes. 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Piggy banks will also be hidden at events throughout the city of Mooresville, including the following:

  • Thursday, April 9: Mooresville Public Library: Just for Me & Side by Side story time, 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
  • Friday, April 10: Mooresville Speedway, 2 p.m. -6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 15: Lancaster's: Bike Night, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 18: Lowe's YMCA: Healthy Kids Day, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
